AAPT Post-AGM 2026 Updates
Welcoming New Council Members and Recognising Honorary Members
Following the AAPT Annual General Meeting, we are pleased to announce a number of updates to the AAPT Council and to recognise our Honorary Members.
Welcoming new Council members
We are delighted to welcome Jessica Arnold and Wynnona Dewbery to the AAPT Council following their successful nominations at the AGM.
We look forward to their contributions to Council and to the wider work of AAPT as we continue to represent, support and develop the Anatomical Pathology Technology profession.
We would also like to congratulate John Pitchers, who has now retaken up the role of AAPT Chair, with Lydia Judge-Kronis moving into the role of Past-Chair for a one-year period.
We would like to thank Lydia for her leadership as Chair and look forward to benefiting from her continued experience and involvement with AAPT during the year ahead.

Recognising our Honorary Members
The AAPT is also pleased to confirm the updated list of Honorary Members, which now includes John Pitchers, Mike Conway and Barry Knight.
Honorary Membership recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to AAPT and to the Anatomical Pathology Technology profession. We are delighted to formally recognise their contributions and the expertise and commitment they have brought to AAPT over the years.
Looking ahead
The post-AGM period also provides an opportunity for Council to look ahead and consider how its committees and working groups should operate during the coming year.
Council members will be reviewing the current committee and working group structure, including whether existing groups remain relevant and where new areas of work may require additional focus.
AAPT will also be reviewing its external representation, ensuring that our list of representatives across relevant organisations, committees and professional groups remains accurate and up to date.
These reviews form part of the ongoing work of Council to ensure that AAPT remains effective, representative and focused on the needs of its members and the wider APT profession.
We would like to thank all AAPT members who participated in the AGM and contributed to the Association's work over the past year.
