The AAPT welcomes Sir Jonathan Michael’s recommendations in the Phase 2 Report of the Independent Inquiry into the Issues Raised by the David Fuller Case
The AAPT has long been vocal about the inadequacy of regulation around the after-death care sector, especially in relation to funeral premises and individuals employed in roles that bring them into contact with the deceased, including Anatomical Pathology Technologists.
We will reflect on the report and release a more comprehensive response in due course, but we look forward to working with Government and other partners to better protect the deceased and their friends and family.
