Statement from the AAPT in relation to Level 3 assessment
Following extensive consultation with our colleagues at the Royal Society for Public Health and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, AAPT has today put forward a plan for the resumption of the practical assessment element of the Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Science (Anatomical Pathology Technology).
This plan represents an aspiration, not a commitment – there are still too many uncertainties for us to be able to absolutely commit to timescales at this stage; however, we are confident that we can start to reintroduce this element in way that is safe and acceptable to Assessors, Students and Employers.
The plan, along with a wider timetable, will be formally announced by the training centre to those cohorts who have candidates who have applied, and are waiting for, an assessment.
We are pleased to be able to set-out this plan, and thank the current students for their patience whilst we navigate this unprecedented situation.
