Michael Conway FAAPT MBE

AAPT Fellow Michael Conway CSci FAAPT MBE has been recognised for his services to anatomical pathology technology



Employed at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he is responsible for the provision, management, coordination and development of the mortuary, post-mortem examination and medical examiner's offices, services for the trust, HM Coroner and the community and becomes an MBE in the honours list.

Mr Conway has a special interest in major incident and mass fatality planning and response and is a team manager for the UKDVI APT Response Team.

He has responded to a number of incidents over the years including the Potters Bar rail crash, the Asian Tsunami, the London bombings, and the Tunisian terrorist shootings, and he was involved in deploying staff to respond to the Shoreham air crash, the Manchester Arena bombing and Grenfell Tower Fire incidents.
