Celebration Of Science - Recognition Awards 2026

The AAPT are pleased to share that the annual Science Council’s Recognition Awards are open!



The awards were created to recognise those who are driving progress, championing professionalism, and elevating the science workforce.

This year, the Science Council has announced a new award - the Inclusion Champion Award. This award will spotlight an individual or team that has demonstrated impact in advancing inclusion within the science professions.

This year, you or one of your colleagues could be the next recipient of the:

  • CSci Award
  • CSciTeach Award
  • RSci Award
  • RSciTech Award
  • Science Council Volunteer Award
  • Apprentice Ambassador Award
  • Elevating the Science Workforce Award (Individual or Team)
  • Inclusion Champion Award

Awards will be presented to the winners at the Science Council’s Celebration of Science event later this year, bringing together professionals from across the scientific landscape to celebrate excellence, share ideas, and acknowledge the remarkable contributions that strengthen the scientific community.

Inclusion Champion Award 

This year, as part of the Science Council’s Recognition Awards, a brand-new award has been launched – the Inclusion Champion Award.

Have you or your team made an impact on advancing inclusion within the science professions by supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds to participate fully, feel valued, and progress equitably within the profession? They want to hear from you!
