Use of body bags for patients with COVID-19

The AAPT wished to clarify a potential contradiction between PHE and HSE guidance on the use of body bags for the deceased where COVID-19 is confirmed or suspected

The page for the HSE guidance HSG283 has now been updated to clarify that the coronavirus sections refers to precautions for other viruses such as SARS and not to COVID-19.

Therefore the PHE guidance that body bags are not required, but may be used for other practical reasons, can be followed.
