The Human Tissue Act 12 years on - the good, the bad, and the ugly
This event has been designed to review the first 12 years of the Human Tissue Act 2004 and the impact it has had on the sectors that it regulates.
Taking place on 23rd June, topics will include:
- An interview with a family who were affected by the Alder Hey organ retention issue
- The display of specimens in medical museums
- The post mortem
- The storage of bodies by funeral directors
- The ethical issues surrounding consent
