Drawing Parallels: artistic encounters with pathology

As part of the Share Academy funded Project ‘Drawing Parallels: artistic encounters with pathology,’ there are a series of interactive workshops aimed at gathering information on attitudes towards our collections and their display from students and health professionals alike.

We would like to invite a limited number of APTs to come and join us for one of these workshops at
Barts Pathology Museum on Wednesday July 2nd  between 1:00 – 4:00 pm

We invite you to look at photographs, drawings and real specimens from UCL Teaching and Research Collections and Barts Pathology Museum foetal and neonatal collections. The organisers of these workshops feel these types of collections are under used and misunderstood at present, and hope to use the findings from this study to inform future use and display of the collections.

The aim is to use the workshop as a space for response and discussion about these artefacts and to explore how we can find ways to engage with them. Light refreshment will be provided and the session will end with an informal drink and opportunity to chat further on this fascinating subject.
Please rsvp directly to c.valentine@qmul.ac.uk to express interest and receive further details. For information on the museum go to the temporary website www.potts-pots.blogspot.com
