**Introduce a Colleague Offer During March 2012**

Promotional offer for 50% subscription discount

The AAPT would like to offer members:

 50% off the 2012-13 subscription for introducing a newly proposed or lapsed member.
The new or rejoined member will also receive 50% off the annual subscription fee.

Conditions

a) Both the current and joining member sign up to pay by direct debit
b) A member can only receive the 50% discount for one introduced member
c) Applies only to Fellow and Member grades for the current member
d) The newly joined or rejoining member can be at any grade
e) Applications must be received between 1st March 2012 and 31st March 2012

The AAPT represents members who work in both hospital and public mortuaries and is acknowledged as the guiding body to represent the healthcare science field of anatomical pathology technology.

The AAPT offers 3 levels of membership for Anatomical Pathology Technologists and a grade for those who wish to be affiliated to the AAPT:

Fellow

To apply for the Fellow grade, a technologist will hold as a minimum requirement the Royal Society of Public Health Diploma of Anatomical Pathology Technology, with 4 years post-qualification experience. The Council of the AAPT will consider a non-UK educational equivalent to the Diploma for those technologists working and qualified from overseas. Photocopies of qualifications are required with your application.

Member

To apply for the Member grade, a technologist will hold as a minimum requirement the Royal Society of Public Health Certificate of Anatomical Pathology Technology or hold the Royal Society of Public Health Diploma of Anatomical Pathology Technology but with less than 4 years post qualification experience. The Council of the AAPT will consider a non-UK educational equivalent to the Certificate for those technologists working and qualified from overseas. Photocopies of your qualifications are required with your application.

Student

To apply for the Student grade, an individual will be employed as a trainee technologist and be working towards the qualifications required to be a Member of the AAPT.

Affiliate Member

This grade is for those who wish to be affiliated to the AAPT. For example: pathologists, histopathology biomedical scientists or technologists working overseas without equivalent qualifications to the Diploma and Certificate.

For the grade of Student and Affiliate, an application must be supported by a signed proposal from a full member of the AAPT or pathologist.
