NCEPOD Coroners report
The AAPT has been involved with the NCEPOD Report, The Coroner's Autopsy: Do we deserve better? The report was launched in 2006 at the Royal College of Pathologists and was well attended by coroners, pathologists, lawyers, other interested professionals and a handful of vocal APTs. The report is the first attempt to audit the quality of Coronial autopsy reports on a national basis. Reports were obtained from 88% of the Coroners in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and makes for some very interesting reading! more...

On Monday 14th November the Healthcare Scientists Career framework was officially launched by Lord Warner at Richmond House.

The Healthcare Scientists (HCS) Career Framework aims to provide a guide for NHS and partner organisations on the implementation of an integrated career framework for all healthcare scientists based on the concept of skills escalation and offering flexible career opportunities to meet workforce, service and individual needs.
