AAPT Consent Training Day - 4th July 2008
A full house of anatomical pathology technologists and several bereavement officers were present at the AAPT office on 4th July. The aim of the day was to update on issues surrounding consent and the AAPT were delighted that Caroline Browne of the Human Tissue Authority took time out to speak to those assembled. The resident AAPT expert and Council member Iain Johnstone delivered an excellent presentation that you will find below.
The feedback from the event is also below and it is hoped that the AAPT will run similar training days in the near future. The meeting was CPD credit rated for 8 credits and the audience were encouraged to follow up the meeting by attempting the HTA "Read, test and reflect" questions in the AAPT Learning Zone that had previously been set by Mr Johnstone.
