AAPT Consent training day
The AAPT will be holding a training day on issues of post mortem consent on 4th July 2008.
The day will run from 10am until 4pm and will covers all aspects of consent including a presentation from the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) on their Code for PM Consent. The day will include workshop sessions with case scenario's to work through and will be CPD credited by the AAPT for 7 credits.
The attendance fee for members is £20 and non-members are welcome at £35.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the training day, participants will:
- Have knowledge of the HTA Codes for Consent
- have knowledge of the post mortem consent process
- have practical experience of dealing with consent issues
- be able to facilitate the consent process with N.O.K and clinician
- be able to inform their Trust of consent procedures and best practice
- be able to help their set up a consent process
