NEMA Study Day
The National Emergency Mortuary Arrangements as provided by KBR are being trialled by the Home Office in Oct/Nov and the Home Office have very kindly offered the AAPT, in conjunction with CIFA, a Study Day on Friday 24th October 2008.
This study day will be held at the KBR site in Bicester,Oxfordshire and although the programme has still to be finalised, it will include introductions to KBR, Home Office Mass Fatalities Unit and topics such as Regulation of APTs and also a tour of the NEM facilities.
This is a excellent opportunity for APTs to see first hand the equipment to be deployed and to learn more about the response to a major incident. The study day will be accredited with 7 CPD points.
The full programme and relevant information, including registration form, will be advertised as soon as possible but we anticipate an 11am start to allow APTs time to travel to the site.
To express an interest in this day please contact alianderson@ntlworld.com and as places are limited they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
